TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER:- MERE LANE, BITTESBY
Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.
A road closure is required on Mere Lane, Bittesby on the 23rd May 2022 for 16 weeks.
The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Hydrock to undertake construction of S278 works for Magna Park North.

NOTIFICATION OF ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE WORKS M1 Junction 19 – 21 Northbound and Southbound
Essential maintenance work to the M1 northbound and southbound carraigway between Junction 19 and Junction 21,
including the exit and entry slip roads at Junction 20.
Due to start on 30th May 2022 and is scheduled for completion by Mid September 2022.

Tributes to Councillor Reg Flint
It is with a degree of sadness that we record the death of Reg Flint, a councillor who faithfully served on Bitteswell with Bittesby Parish Council for upwards of 25 years. I say with a degree of sadness, as he attained the age of 92, and, although physically rather frail towards the end of his life, his brain remained as active as ever.

ESSENTIAL DRAINAGE MAINTENANCE WORKS A5 Smockington to Bittesby
Please see attached a letter from National Highways regarding the closure of the A5 between its roundabout junction with Avery Way at Smockington, and its roundabout junction with Mere Lane near Magna Park between 9pm and 6pm Monday to Friday until the end of April 2022.

A road closure is required on Ashby Lane, Bitteswell from the junction with Lutterworth Road for approx.100m north on the 11th April 2022 for 4 days.

Regretfully, due to low customer usage, the mobile services at Walton On Trent, Turnditch, Mapleton, Bitteswell, Acton Trussell, Abbots Bromley, and Denstone will cease to exist from Monday, 18 April 2022.
